October 11, 2018 Getting Ready

With 18 days to go, preparations are continuing for our trip to Europe.  I stopped at the bank and ordered 200 Euros so that we would have currency upon arrival in Amsterdam.  I contacted the credit card banks to inform them of our travel plans. We are starting to monitor the weather to make sure we have the proper clothes for the daytime activities.  I will still be traveling with a carry on backpack style suit case while Barb will be going with checked baggage.  Ever  since my bike trip, I try to minimize travel needs following the "pack light" rule.  Also, we are making sure all of our travel documents are ready.  I have been accessing You-Tube to get better at speaking German or Sprechen Deutch.  It would take a lot to become fluent but I would like to get as much of the basics as possible.   Many Europeans speak English so it should not be a problem getting around.
